Manhattan : Kansas

Manhattan is located in the heart of northeast Kansas' scenic Flint Hills. Manhattan is known as the "Little Apple" and is found 125 miles west of Kansas City just off of Interstate I-70. The community was named by New York land speculators.

Land area: 15.0 square miles

Latitude: 39.19 N

Longitude: 96.59 W

Population: 48,668 (as on July 2005)
